The Iranian Community of Manitoba would like to extend its sincere condolences to the Iranian community, Iranian-Canadians, and all citizens of Manitoba on the death of dozens of innocent people in Iran, while we stand in solidarity with the family of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, who was killed while in Police custody, and families of many others who were killed or injured during the last few days, and millions of victims of discriminatory and misogynistic laws of the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian Community of Manitoba condemns, with the strongest possible terms, the violation of the most basic human rights in Iran including the right to life, liberty and security, and the trampling on the Iranian people’s dignity especially the Iranian women, as well as the violent crackdown on the protesters including those protesting the current critical socio-economic situation in Iran. The Community demands the Islamic Republic to immediately stop the oppression and pressure against the people and activists, and to allow fair and independent international investigations into the conditions that led to the death of Mahsa (Zhina) and other protesters and victims of violence in Iran.
Canadian Parliament, with any means possible and in cooperation with the Federal Government Cabinet, to help stop the violation of human rights in Iran and to actively stand against the attacks against humanity that is occurring on a daily basis in Iran.
Long life freedom!
The Iranian Community of Manitoba (ICM)
